Working in groups of 3-4, students are required to complete an oral presentation examining the key issues relating to AOD work with one of the following groups:
AOD Mental Health and Young People
AOD Mental Health and Homelessness
AOD and Mental Health and Indigenous Australians
The presentation will cover:
PPT
The current context of AOD issues with the chosen client group
A discussion of dual diagnosis as it relates to the chosen group
Evaluation of current services and prevention program/s focused on addressing relevant issues impacting on the group
Professional and ethical practice in direct work with the chosen client group
Evaluation of their group's processes and member contribution/collaboration to complete the task
Use APA 7 referencing. Your PowerPoint slides for your oral presentation should include at least 5 (scholarly) journal articles or books. The format of your slides will be discussed in greater detail during tutorials.
